  • We are conducting our first CLE in conjunction with ATA in November on DUI Assessments
  • Judge Mike Finkel has written a special guest article for this issue discussing the Regional Veterans Court
  • CJE was featured on the front page of The Seattle Times with fair coverage of our activities
  • We have a recap of our Poker Night event which was the largest and most successful event CJE has ever held
  • Our recent Patio & Putting Party at the Newcastle Golf Club brought together a variety of folks who work in the legal community
  • CJE Girls’ Night Out was a hit with our members and is sure to be repeated

In addition, we welcome two new corporate members, LifeSafer and 2 Watch Monitoring, as well as eight new individual members who have joined the CJE effort to improve our judiciary.

We also offer congratulations to Judge Bill Bowman and his campaign manager, former CJE Executive Director Mary Ann Ottinger, for Judge Bowman’s victory in his race for King County Superior Court.

In this issue we discuss the upcoming 2012 Annual Poker Night to raise funds to support CJE’s work as well as reporting on the 2012 CJE Annual Meeting held at Carillon Point in Kirkland.

CJE was represented at the King County Bar Association Breakfast and we welcome new members to the organization.
